Common questions
about window tinting in San Diego
How much does window tinting cost in San Diego?
A full-vehicle ceramic tint is $350, front two windows in ceramic are $150, nano-carbon front two windows are $100, and windshield tinting is $180. Tint removal starts at $40. Home tinting and windshield chip repair are quoted per job.
How dark can I legally tint my windows in California?
Rear side windows and the rear windshield can be any darkness. Front side windows must let more than 70% of visible light through, and only the top strip of the windshield above the AS-1 line can take tinted film. Every install we do stays inside those limits.
Do you come to me, or do I bring the car to you?
Either. Our mobile setup carries the same films and tools as the shop, and there is no travel fee anywhere in San Diego County — mobile pricing matches shop pricing.
How long does window tinting take?
Front two windows take about an hour, a windshield about an hour, and a full vehicle 2 to 3 hours. Leave your windows rolled up for 3 to 5 days afterward while the adhesive cures.
Should I get ceramic or carbon tint?
Ceramic rejects significantly more infrared heat and is the better choice if daily comfort in the sun is the goal. Carbon costs less and still blocks UV, resists fading, and never interferes with signals. Neither one is metallic, so GPS and cell reception are unaffected either way.
Which parts of San Diego County do you serve?
All of it — San Diego, San Marcos, Rancho Bernardo, Poway, Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Chula Vista, La Mesa, El Cajon, and everywhere in between.
